Black Stars captain returns from injury to play full game for Shanghai SIPG

Asamoah Gyan made an injury return on Friday and is fit for Black Stars game against Mozambique later this month

The Ghanaian forward was stretched off in Shanghai SIPG’s Asian Champions League game against Melbourne Victory last month and missed their last two games against Suwon Bluewings and Henan Jianye.

There were fears Asamoah Gyan’s injury will rule him out of Ghana’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game against Mozambique later this month but the former Al Ain striker made an injury return on Friday, playing in the entire duration of the game against Shanghai Shenhua.

Giovanni Andres Moreno scored the opening goal of the game for Demba Ba’s away team before Cia Huikang leveled for a 1-1 score line at half time.
