Black Stars captain throws light on new injury

"I thank God for that because I thought it was a tear, a tear can take like six weeks but according to the results it will take like two weeks or may be five to seven days" - Asamoah Gyan

Gyan picked up an injury during the Black Stars final training at the Accra Sports Stadium and he will be out of the duel against the OS Mambas.

“I felt something in my muscle, my middle sprint and I felt something in my muscle so I have to just stop. We had an MRI and the results show that there was a muscle strain, something which is not that serious.

“I thank God for that because I thought it was a tear, a tear can take like six weeks but according to the results it will take like two weeks or may be five to seven days. I will see how my body responds to the recovery and stuff and there are doubt, there might be a miracle but I don’t think I can play,” Gyan told Metro TV.
