Ghanaian striker now not in top 10 best-paid players

The former Sunderland forward Gyan became one of the best paid players in the world when he moved to China in 2015, earning £227,000 per week

Chelsea midfielder Oscar is closing in on a shock transfer to Chinese club Shanghai SIPG for a reported £60 million fee.

The Brazilian playmaker will become the latest star name to head to the lucrative Chinese Super League, following fellow Brazilians Hulk and Ramires, and former Premier League stars Graziano Pelle and Asamoah Gyan.

And to convince Oscar to give up Stamford Bridge for the Shanghai Stadium, he is reportedly set to be paid over £350,000-per-week - making him one of the highest paid footballers in the world.
