Frank Sarfo Gyamfi calls for support for Ghana Premier League club

Frank Sarfo Gyamfi calls for support from Kotoko fans as the Kumasi-based club recover from their poor start to the Ghana Premier League season.

The Kumasi lads started the season on a jerky note but they have begun picking up the pieces as they have won three games in their last four fixtures taking them to fifth position on the league log with 17 points.

“Kotoko has a huge support base not just in Kumasi but across the country,” Sarfo Gyamfi said.

“So our home performance cannot be attributed to the number of fans we see in our home games. It’s about the way they support; that they cheer us even in difficult times like it was in Accra the last time we played Hearts of Oak,” he added.

Prior to the season the former Wa All Stars flanks man was at the treatment room but he has recovered and has started the club’s last five games- scoring one goal in the process.

Meanwhile, Kotoko will play as guests to third-tier side Storm Academy at Nkawkaw in the round of 16 of the MTN FA Cup this weekend.
