The management committee of the league champions has resigned at the same time

AshGold managed to win the GPL last season for the very first time in 19 years, but are struggling to put up a performance that matches the standards of a champion, having won just 2 games in 11 league matches to place 12th in the 16-club league.

The supporters of the club have been putting pressure on management, players and technical bench to bring the team back to winning ways.

Bashiru Hayford the head coach after their match day 11 game requested for his accumulated leave, but management refused to grant it and to worsen the plight of the champions, the management has called it a quit.

“Kudjoe Fianoo and his management team have resigned, due to the current position of the club. The board is yet to meet and take a decision on that, but they have appealed to the management to supervise the match day 12 game, then after they would decide to accept or refuse to accept the resignation,” a source in AshGold told Pulse.com.gh.
