Asisat Oshoala models new Barcelona away jersey for 2022/23 season [Photos]

On Monday, June 27 La Liga giants Barcelona unveiled their new away jersey for the upcoming season.

This away jersey comes after Barcelona dropped their home kit earlier in the month.

The new away jersey was designed by international sportswear brand Nike which sponsors the team.

Several first team players such as Ansu Fati, Pedri, women's team stars such as 2022 Pichichi winner Asisat Oshoala and Alexia Putellas unveiled the new home jersey for the 2022/23 football season.

Barcelona home jersey and tribute to 1992 Olympics

The new away jersey is inspired by the 1992 Olympics which was held at the Camp, Nou in Barcelona

The new Barcelona kit was unveiled with videos and photos on the Barcelona social media platforms.

A statement about the new kit on the Barcelona website said, "This one focuses on some of the most iconic elements of the Games, such as the Olympic rings and gold medals, the most treasured of all Olympic items and which athletes from all over the world strive to win.

"Hence, the colour of gold is the absolute protagonist of the new design, which also includes the pattern of the map of Barcelona, highlighting the Eixample, Montjuic and Barceloneta in homage to the 1992 Games while the trim at the end of the sleeves features the colours of the five Olympic rings.
