Only €100,000 can afford Saddick Adams - Berekum Chelsea
The Berekum-based club believes the former Black Starlets striker is worth the figure, and will hold on to their star player in the 2015-16 Ghana Premier League until their valuation is met.
There are reports about five clubs including Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko are sniffing around the Golden City Park for the signature of the former Atletico Mirneiro Protégé forward.
Reports added that Hearts of Oak tabled a bid of GH¢ 150,000 which was rejected.
Chief Executive Officer, Nana Kwame Nketia confirmed the reports.
"We value Adams at a certain figure which is €100,000 but Hearts submitted GH¢ 150,000 and we had to reject it. Any club who wants to sign the player should be ready to pay the price we are demanding,” Mr. Kwame said in an interview with Boss FM.
He also revealed that there are clubs from Europe who have shown interest in the services of Adams and if Ghanaian clubs are not ready to meet their demands, he will be allowed to move abroad.
“Saddick Adams at the moment is Europe bound. When the European summer window opens in June, Ghanaian clubs will have to compete with the foreign interest in him and whoever meets the asking price that is fine," he said.
Aduana Stars and Asante Kotoko have written to the hierarchy of Chelsea confirming interest in Adams, but they've since not returned after they were told to cough out €100,000.
"None of the clubs have returned after we disclosed the transfer amount for Adams, so we are still waiting. If they don’t return then I can confirm Sadick will join a foreign club when the transfer window is opened in June,” he stated.
Sadick Adams joined Chelsea as a free agent last season, and his decision has been sensational acquisition, racking up 6 goals in 8 league matches.
