Asamoah Gyan declares himself fully fit for AFCON 2017

The Black Stars skipper has stated that he is prepared to give out his best in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon

The 31-year-old marksman of the Black Stars has been battling with series of injuries, before and after he joined Al Ahli Dubai on loan from Shanghai SIPG.

Gyan's last layoff was November and has featured in his past three games for Al Ain's after his injury return, including a 90 minutes display against  Al-Ittihad Kalba which is a big boost for the Black Stars ahead of the 2017 AFCON.

''I am ready for the tournament, physically and mentally. We all know what is at stake, the last time we came so close and this time we really want to end it," he said

''I have the hope and believe we will win next year’s title, we just have to go out there and work hard.''

Gyan, who has scored 48 goals for the Black Stars will be leading the team in the AFCON as he looks to hit a milestone goals in his international career.

The 2017 Africa Cup of Nations starts on 17th January and ends on 5th February.
