Avram Grant’s team just made a request that will annoy Ghanaian tax payers

The Black Stars of Ghana have made a request for their camping hotel to be changed from Alisa to Movenpick.

The Black Stars have been staying at the Alisa hotel during their base in Accra when preparing for national assignments.

The request which is reported to have been signed by acting General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association states the venue should be changed from Alisa hotel to the luxurious five-star Movenpick hotel.

Avram Grant and his team will depart from Ghana for Mauritius ahead of their away fixture in Group H of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The players of the senior national team of Ghana have previously come under criticism for not considering the economic state of the country when making decisions.

Players refused to play until their bonuses were sorted at the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament in Brazil, a story that took the international media by surprise and saw a committee set up locally to investigate the financial details during Ghana’s stay at the competition.
