Emmanuel ‘Game Boy’ Tagoe will face a new opponent for the world title bout scheduled for 2 December, 2016, after Fernando David Saucedo withdrew from the fight.

It is understood that the Argentine pulled out for fear of losing the bout. The bout was postponed from last week Friday to Friday 2nd December to accommodate Saucedo who had just recovered from illness.

Samuel Anim Addo, the president of the Babyjets Promotions announced the decision of Saucedo to pull out and the fact that a new opponent has been approved by the International Boxing Federation (IBF).

"We had to get a new opponent for Tagoe following Saucedo's unwillingness to travel down for the bout, luckily for us we got the IBO to approve for a replacement after this disappointment from Team Saucedo," said promoter Samuel Anim

"This goes down to show what we have always been saying that opponents are afraid of Game Boy.

"We need Ghanaians to rally behind us to make it happen and for Game Boy to win the World title for Ghana"
