Isaac Dogboe arrives in Ghana with WBO belt

Isaac Dogboe who was in the company of his father/trainer Paul Dogboe received  hero’s welcome as hundred of onlookers at the airport heaped praised on the 22 year-old rising star.

Dogboe who stepped down in weight from featherweight to the super bantamweight stopped Julian Aristole in round seven to claim the vacant WBO international super bantamweight belt. They fought on the undercard of Joseph Parker vs.  Andy Ruiz WBO World Heavyweight clash on December 10th in Aukland, New Zealand.

“After I beat in December 2015 I said 2016 is going to be a great year, right now we have set the foundations, the puzzle is set,” junior Dogboe told Pulse.com.gh at the airport.

“2017 is a great year and we can only look up to God to help us. It is like a puzzle we are sliding everything together and making it concrete.”

The diminutive hard puncher added that he will  continue from where  International Hall of Fame Inductee Azumah Nelson left off.

“Isaac Dogboe will continue from where Azumah Nelson left off that is what our former President J.J Rawlings said. And I have to thank President Rawlings and his wife Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings and the family. It has been a great experience knowing them, a great support and I can only say thank you and God bless them all,” he concluded.
