The Portuguese is set to leave Hearts of Oak, after being demoted to the club's youth team
The 34-year-old was appointed to handle the youth team of Hearts of Oak, but he was named as Kenichi Yatsuhashi’s replacement after the Japanese terminated his appointment with the Accra giants by mutual consent.
According to a statement released by the Hearts of Oak, Sergio Tranguil has been demoted to the club's youth team.
However, sources close to Pulse Sports indicate that Tranguil, who is not pleased with the decision, would rather leave than be reassigned.
Meanwhile, Yaw Preko has been named as the caretaker coach to run the affairs of the club until the end of the season.
Sergio Traguil had a good start to his Hearts of Oak job, winning two and drawing two of his first four league games to reclaim the top spot for the Phobians.
However, Hearts of Oak have been struggling to churn out the results lately, having won just one in eight league games, hence compelling the club to terminate his appointment with immediate effect.
