Medeama to engage M.O Bejaia

The Ghana FA Cup champions will come face to face against the Algerian outfit on Wednesday.

Bejaia the conquerors of the Ghana league champions Ashanti Gold will travel to Ghana for the second time.

Their first campaign in Ghana was against Ashgold in the CAF Champions League. They lost the first leg 0-1, but overturned the scoreline in the 2 leg in Algeria with a 3-1 victory to match on.

Medeama lost their first group A game 1-3 against T.P Mazembe in Lubumbashi last two weeks, while M.O Bejaia edged Yanga African by a goal to nil in Algeria.

Medeama are entering into this game with a lot of financial issues troubling them, after the President of the club Moses Armah Parker is quoted to have threatened that the Yellow and Mauves would withdraw from the competition if they don’t get a bail out due to the huge expenditure involved in preparing for the Confederation Cup.

Abass Mohammed, Kwesi Donsu, Kwakwa, Malik Akowuah, the scorer of the Tarkwa lads’ match opener in their 1-3 defeat against T.P Mazembe are the players to watch.

However, they will be missing the services of sensational Kwesi Donsu. who is on suspension.

Before the start of the 2015/2016 season in Algeria, M.O Bejaia signed a Senegalese striker Mouhammed Waliou Ndoye. The Algerians signed Ndoye from Senegalese side Stade de Mbour on the 15 of July,2015 for 150000 euros to add some essential fire power to the side. Ndoye has scored 9 out 24 appearances on all competitions so far in the season.

In the other group A game, T.P Mazembe stunned Yanga African in Tanzania to amass 6 points out of two games to maintain their lead at the summit of the table.
