Confirmed Ghana to host 2018 Africa Women's Championship

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed receiving the official right to host the 2018 Africa Women's Championship.

Ghana will be hosting the 2018 Africa Women's Championship as confirmed by the Ghana Football Association at the 2016 congress.

There were unconfirmed reports that Ghana will be hosting the 2018 Africa Women's Championship, but Ghana Football Association on Monday at the Ghanaman Soccer of Excellence at communicated it officially to member of the association.

This is going to be the first time Ghana will be handed the mandate to host the championship which has eluded the nation since its inception in the 1990's.

The just ended 2016 Africa Women's Championship was staged in Cameroon and Nigeria won a record 10th title.
