Ghana’s Daniel Agyei has expressed delight for playing his first league game for Simba FC after his side defeated Ndanda FC 2-0.

Agyei’s side on Sunday defied all odds to eased past Ndanda FC which enabled the  Dar es Salaam-based club dislodged Young Africans from the top of the table.

I’m happy to play my first game which came with a win, I also kept keep a clean sheet,” Agyei told Pulse.com.gh.

It was a tough game we played because Ndanda FC is a strong team and beating them in their own backyard means that we are very strong. The win also took us to the top of the league table and we are going to protect our lead till the last game of the season.

The former U-20 World Cup winner added: ”Since I joined the team, I have been in good relationship with everybody and we are living as a family. Simba FC is a big team in Tanzanian because of their rich history in the country’s top-flight, so I hope to add my name in the history books of the club.
