Ghana defender trains with New England Revolution

25-year old left back David Addy met up with the squad in Tucson on Monday night, and began training Tuesday morning.

Ghana defender David Addy has arrived in the United States of America and he is already training with Major League Soccer side New England Revolution.

The 25-year-old has hit the ground running by undergoing trial in Tucson on Tuesday morning.

Addy most recently appeared for Waasland-Beveren in the Belgian Pro League, Belgium’s top division. Despite his relative youth, his professional experience stretches back to the middle of the last decade, when he debuted with Inter Allies FC in his native Ghana.

Addy made the jump to Europe in 2008 with Randers FC, at which point he was a teammate of Lee Nguyen.

Since then, he’s bounced around a little, moving to FC Porto but making very little headway there, instead going on loan to Academica de Coimbra in Portugal and Panetolikos in Greece.

Addy later signed with Vitoria SC in Portugal and was successful there, making 58 league appearances and scoring two goals from 2012-2014 before moving to Belgium
