Dortmund 8-4 Legia Warsaw Watch the highest scoring UEFA Champions League game

Dortmund beat Legia Warsaw 8-4 in the highest-scoring Champions League game in history.

  • Published:

Borussia Dortmund and Legia Warsaw created Champions League history as the German side maintained their 100 percent record with a stunning 8-4 victory at a rain-soaked Signal Iduna Park.

The 12 goals scored at the Westfalenstadion on Tuesday surpassed Monaco's 8-3 win over Deportivo La Coruna in 2003.

There were seven goals in 22 first-half minutes, while Marco Reus scored a hat-trick for Thomas Tuchel's Dortmund.

Polish champions Legia became the first side to score four goals in a Champions League match and lose.
