Ghana striker stretchered off against Mozambique

The Ghana attacker appeared in serious discomfort after he was challenged by a Mozambique defender.

Ebenezer Assifuah was stretchered off during Ghana's 0-0 with Mozambique in Maputo on Sunday afternoon.

Assifuah's ankle appeared to buckle as Black Stars players and coach Avram Grant feared the worst.

He was replaced by Majeed Waris, who started the first leg in Accra last Thursday. Assifuah joins list of increasing injured players in Black Stars cam; with Christian Atsu and Mubarak Wakaso missing the game through injury.

Assifuah who has been consistent in form and gets in the goals occasionally at club level earned another call from Avram Grant to the Black Stars team for the AFCON qualifiers.
