Gerald Ankrah quits as Hearts of Oak MD

Gerald Ankrah has officially resigned from his post as Hearts of Oak Managing Director ahead of the Ghana premier league, Pulse Sports Ghana can confirm.

According to sources close to Pulse Sports Ghana, Ankrah tendered in his resignation letter to the club’s secretary on Monday afternoon citing personal reasons for his decision.

But according to our sources, Ankrah was not enthused with the formation of the five-man strategy committee which is been headed by Vincent Sowah Odotei.

“I can confirm that Gerald Ankrah has resigned from his post as the club’s MD, he brought his resignation letter to the club’s office today afternoon. The club’s board is yet to meet on it,” the source told Pulse Sports Ghana.

Ankrah got appointed as Managing Director of the club in 2014 and he came under severe pressure when the club’s nearly got relegated last season.
