Okocha names Tony Yeboah as Ghana's best player of all-time

The Nigerian legend believes his former Frankfort teammate is Ghana's all-time best player.

Tony Yeboah, who was the first African to win the Bundesliga topscorer, played alongside AustinOkocha during their days at Frankfurt in the 1990's.

Okocha is in Ghana for a Bundesliga legends tour being sponsored by pay-TV operators StarTimes to help increase viewership of the German league.

And speaking at a press conference organized as part of a series of programmes by StarTimes, the former Nigeria international heaped praises on Tony Yeboah saying he is the best footballer Ghana has ever produced.

“I will say my best Ghanaian football of all-time will be Tony Yeboah, Tony was a great guy,” he said.

“I have played with lots of players but Tony was exceptional, he always do a magic even when there is no hope.

“With Tony in the team you are assured of a goal in every match, he will just pop up out of nothing and get you a goal. So I will say Tony Yeboah.”

Tony Yeboah made 123 appearances for Frankfurt and scored 68 goals in the process.
