Medeama's trainer Tom Strand tips Kotoko for GPL title

Medeama SC trainer Tom Strand has tipped Asante Kotoko to win the upcoming 2016 Ghana Premier League scheduled to come off on 20th February, 2016.

According to the Swedish tactician, the Porcupine Warriors have signed some good players ahead of the season which makes the dethroned league champions the number one contender for the domestic top-flight championship.

The Kumasi based club have already made their intentions clear regarding the upcoming league having won two off-season trophies (SWAG Cup and GHALCA G-6) and their superb display against Ettihad Tripoli in an international friendly game in Libya despite losing 2-1 on aggregate.

“I think Kotoko, they have signed some good players. There is Ashanti Gold, Aduana, Hearts of Oak and the others, but I think Kotoko is favourite,” he told Starr FM.

Strand last season guided Medeama SC to beat Asante Kotoko 2-1 for the MTN FA Cup trophy and they will be representing Ghana in this year's CAF confederations Cup competition.
