Kofi Bawuah has threatened to prevent Latif Blessing from travelling to South Africa for medical at Ajax Cape Town on Friday.
Bawuah brokered a deal for Latif Blessing to ply his trade in Tunisia with CS Sfaxien, but the Liberty Professionals star man rescinded his decision on the day of travelling.
And Kofi, Bawuah, whose father Yaw Bawuah helped Kotoko to win their last CAF Champions League title in 1983 has stated that unless he is compensated, he won’t release the passport of Blessing to enable him travel to South Africa for his medical.
“I have Latif Blessing's passport and any attempt to falsify document to get a new passport will be a criminal act and I will report the matter to the police.
“I was instructed to go to the GFA by Liberty Professionals for his biometric passport of Latif Blessing. They called Mr. Felix Ansong to confirm and I signed a disclaimer afterwards.
" I secured a deal for Latif in Tunisia to play for Sfaxien and the player disappointed me, so all that I need is a compensation from Liberty Professionals, because I bought the player's ticket and also my reputation was tainted,”
Bawuah added that his legal counsel is planning to take action against Latif Blessing should Liberty Professionals fail to compensate him.
“I have spoken with my lawyer, who is in the person of Peter Zwennes to take legal action against Latif Blessing concerning the matter," he added.
