Below are five managers who are unlikely to survive the full season:
1. Maurizio Sarri
While Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho faces a defining season, his counterpart at Chelsea is also in the same situation.
Maurizio Sarri started off his Chelsea tenure with a lackluster 2-0 loss to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the Community Shield.
But with the manager’s obsession with possessive football, it remains to be seen if he will be given enough time to implement his ideas. Knowing Chelsea very well, it’s either he starts winning or face the sack.

2. Jose Mourinho
The Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is rated by the bookmakers as the topmost candidate to be sacked in the course of the season.
The Portuguese has been moaning and complaining about anything and everything during his side’s pre-season games and looks like a frustrated man.
Everything points to the fact that Mourinho himself knows that the upcoming season would be very crucial and failure will not be accepted at Old Trafford. But with no major signings coming, it could cost the manager his job early in the season if results don’t turn out good.
3. Mark Hughes

Southampton manager Mark Hughes is next in line as one of the managers who could face the axe early this season.
The former Stoke City gaffer joined the South Coast club at the end of last season, but despite his impeccable mid-table record with clubs, things don’t look very good for him.
Southampton finished the 2017-18 season just above the relegation zone, but if the improvement of the squad is anything to go by, then Hughes faces an uphill task to transform the fortunes of the club and could be sacked.

4. Marco Silva

Another manager who may not last the full season is Everton’s Marco Silva. The Portuguese has over seen some massive spending at the Goodison Park and will need to show something for that.
Everton have flattered to deceive in recent years despite their array of players. And, that has already led to the sacking of managers like Roberto Martinez and Ronald Koeman.
Marco Silva may be a more pragmatic manager, as compared to the aforementioned duo, but at this moment expectations are high and that could mean his early exit if he fails to deliver.
