The youngster was born in France and will turn 20 in December this year.

Mbappe is a French footballer of African descent- His father Wilfried Mbappé, is from Cameroon, and, as well as being his agent, is a football coach, while his mother, Fayza Lamari.

He is believed to be the next Pele, having started showing glimpses of the feat chalked by arguably the greatest footballer in history, after winning the 2018 FIFA World Cup with France and emulating the Brazilian legend as the second teenager to score in a FIFA World Cup final.

The 19-year-old was voted the Young Player of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, after scoring four goals to inspire France to glory in the Mundial.

Mbappe is currently the most expensive teenager of all-time in word football, following a €180 million move from AS Monaco to Paris Saint Germain. He also the world's second-most expensive player.

Mbappe’s phenomenal display on the has attracted Nike to sign up to him , becoming one of the icons of the sportswear and equipment manufacturers. In 2017, his prodigious talent saw Nike launch his own personalized football boots at age 18, the Kylian Mbappé Nike

Mbappe has a trademark goal celebration- posing with his arms crossed and hands tucked under his armpits. His celebration is in honour of his junior brother Ethan Mbappe, who jubilates in a similar fashion any time he beats the France World Cup winner in FIFA TV games.

Many people believe he is the next in line to take up from Lionel Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, who have dominated world football for the past decade, having won ten FIFA Player of the Year between them.

Nicholas Anelka, a former France and Chelsea striker says the skills, speed and decisive football of Mbappe reminds him of Luis Ronaldo in Atlanta 1996 Olympics.
