Atletico Petro de Luanda and Wydad Casablanca completed the line-up for the semifinals of the 2021/22 CAF Champions League with respective draws on Saturday evening.

Atletico Luanda played a 1-1 draw away at Mamelodi Sundowns after their first-leg 2-1 victory while Wydad Casablanca and CR Belouizdad recorded a goalless draw in Morocco on Saturday as the home side went through.

Thus, Atletico Luanda and Wydad Casablanca join Al Ahly and ES Setif in the last four of the CAF Champions League with just two matches to the showpiece match.

Angola's Atletico Luanda pulled off the surprise of the round as they knocked out one of the pre-tournament favourites in Mamelodi Sundowns over two quarter-final legs.

Following their brazen 2-1 home victory in the first leg, Atletico Luanda only had to avoid defeat at the FNB Stadium on Saturday to go through, and that they did.

Tiago Azulao's sixth (6th) goal of this CAF Champions League campaign put Atletico Luanda back in the green after Brian Mandela had put Sundowns in the lead on the night in the 49th minute.

Azulao is now three goals ahead of his nearest challengers for the CAF Champions League top scorer boot after Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane who was on four (4) goals crashed out with Esperance on Friday night.

In the last quarter-final fixture, Wydad Casablanca produced another defensive masterclass to shut out CR Belouizdad at the Stade Mohammed V on Saturday.

After snatching a 1-0 first leg victory with one man down in Algeria last week, Wydad Casablanca picked up another clean sheet to secure their spot in the semifinals.

It was an eventful match nonetheless, as the VAR adjudged an 86th-minute red card to Belouizdad's goalkeeper Toufik Moussaoui before the VAR also ruled out a 96th-minute penalty to keep the scores at 0-0.

CR Belouizdad's qualification to the semifinals of the CAF Champions League earns them a date with Atletico Luanda while defending champions Al Ahly will face ES Setif in the other semifinal fixture.

The dates for the semi-final matches are yet to be determined by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
