GHALCA former boss is sure Kwesi Appiah will win the AFCON 2019

Former GHALCA Chairman Mr J.Y Appiah has professed shear optimism with Kwesi Appiah building a team to win the 2019 African Cup of Nations.

J.Y Appiah believes the team that Kwesi Appiah will be one to win the Afcon after 37 years of wait for Ghana.

He did state with regards to the new crop of players Coach James Kwesi Appiah is including into the setup.

"In 2019, we will be able to bring the cup that has eluded us for the past 30 years. He will be able to build a good team in order to win the trophy."

Mr J.Y Appiah believes Kwesi Appiah is calling a certain type of players who are dedicated to the cause.

“Dedication to work and commitment are all important when it comes to national teams. I believe the players he is calling now are committed and they are all willing to die for their country.”

He was also optimistic they will prove a point to Ghanaians.

“They will also want to prove a point that Kwesi did not call them in vain. Kwesi called them to tell Ghanaians that they are ready for the national team”.
