Jordan Ayew tipped to win Ballon d’Or

The Swansea City striker has been backed to become the best player in the world.

The 25-year-old is one of the talented sons of African football maestro Abedi Ayew ‘Pele’, but has had a mixed club career so far.

However, the former Aston Villa man has been tipped to improve, with Solar Ayew – who is the brother of Abedi – backing him to win the topmost award in world football soon.

According to him, winning the Ballon d’Or is within Jordan’s reach, adding that the striker could match the exploits of African great George Oppong Weah.

“As for Jordan, I can say without doubt that he will be the next Oppong Weah to win the FIFA World Best from Africa”, Solar Ayew, who formerly lined up for Great Olympic, said in an interview with GBC Sunrise FM.

Jordan was once described by Abedi Pele as his “most talented son”, however, it remains to be seen if he can get to the top of the football ladder.
