CK Akonnor at the Accra City Hotel announced his 23-man squad for Ghana’s double-header against Sudan in late March in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

The head coach of the Black Stars in response to whether Kevin-Prince Boateng is still part of his plans as the new coach of the senior national football team of Ghana said that after speaking to him, he thinks the ex-Barcelona forward doesn’t want to play for Ghana again.

“… for Prince Boateng we spoke, I don’t think he wants to play for the Black Stars again” he said in a response to a question asked earlier.

Kevin-Prince Boateng took to his Twitter handle and replied that he and Akonnor had a great conversation, but they never discussed his future with the Black Stars and further said that he thinks the ex-Kotoko coach is the best man for the Ghana job.

Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari were sacked from the camp of the Black Stars during the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil for indiscipline.

He is yet to apologise for his action and he has since not been handed a national team call-up.
