Jordan’s teammate backs him to be key player for Aston Villa

Allan Hutton backs teammate Jordan Ayew to be the 'key player' as Aston Villa try to revive their Premier League slump

Jordan Ayew continues to get the praises all round. The Ghanaian forward started his Aston Villa career on the low but has risen as an inspiration to his teammates as they seek to get out of their slump.

Aston Villa have not won a single game in the English Premier League since the opening day match against Christian Atsu’s AFC Bournemouth.

Jordan has however been an inspiration for his side in this time of trouble. His work rate and composure has received plaudits from fans and manager and the player continued his stunning revival with a screamer against Newcastle United last weekend.

Jordan’s team mates Alan Hutton has backed the Black Stars player to be key for his Aston Villa side saying:

“Jordan Ayew has the ability to be a key player. In training he's been doing very well. In games he's coming in and getting better and better.

“His goal at Newcastle was unbelievable. He's definitely got that ability and we're hoping we can keep doing that in the coming weeks.”

Aston Villa play West Ham United at Villa Park on Boxing Day before travelling to Norwich City on Monday. Their first Premier League game for the year 2016 will be against Sunderland away from home.
