Prosper Narteh: We reduced Kotoko to an ordinary side

""I told them to have confidence, and they can beat Kotoko, and we have beaten them hands down" - Prosper Narteh

The Cape Coast-based club before Wednesday’s game were in the relegation zone but from the blast of the referee whistle unsettled the Kumasi giants and scored three goals within 30 minutes through Bright Lukman’s brace and Christopher Bonney’s spot kick.

Nicholas Gyan scored the home side’s fourth goal before Kotoko captain Amos Frimpong reduced the deficit from the spot.

And after the game, Narteh talked tough stressing they reduced the former Premier League champions to an ordinary side.

“Kotoko is Kotoko because what they did was those days not now, it is about playing on the field, so I told them [Dwarfs players] that Kotoko is Kotoko because of what they did several years ago but we are in 2016, and it is about football,” Narteh said.

“I told them to have confidence, and they can beat Kotoko, and we have beaten them hands down, from 0 minutes to the 90th minute we were on top of the game.

“We played a very strong Kotoko side they were tactically discipline because I have watched their clip so I was able to map up a tactical plan against them that is why we reduced them to an ordinary side.”

Dwarfs after Kotoko win have jumped to the 11th position with 23 points.
