Thomas Partey speaks concerning his new award, new season and the World Cup

Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey spoke to Pulse after being adjudged Best Footballer of the Year at the maiden edition of the Ghana Football Awards.

Pulse Sports had a few questions for him and this is what he had to say

How do you feel like winning this Award?

It is a motivation to me. It is not easy to be adjudged footballer of the Year so I will say I am happy.

How prepared are you for the new season?

We start pre-season in a few days

Well, it will depend on my motivation for the next season but I think I will my best to do more next season.

Which trophy would you want to win at the end of the season?

As a professional you wish to win the biggest trophy of all time and that is the Champions League so we are going to do our best to win.

The World Cup had all the teams exit the group stages what counted for that?

Well its part of football and I think it’s a lesson for us all to work had and get it right next time
