Time for Kwesi Nyantakyi to go – Charles Taylor

Kwesi Nyantakyi has been GFA president since 2005.

Nyantakyi is in his 12th year as GFA boss, having risen to the position in 2005.

However, the CAF Executive Committee member has been under pressure from a section of Ghanaians to quit his position following the decline of the local game, as well as the Black Stars.

Former Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko attacker, Charles Taylor, has also had his take on the subject, and insists it’s time the Wa All Stars owner resigns.

Speaking on Accra-based Peace FM, Charles Taylor said: “When I realized I couldn’t do it anymore, I had to retire.

“Those bootlickers who have been doing yes sir, yes sir and the GFA are not helping us.

“Nyantakyi has done his part by taking us to the World Cup, who knows may be the next GFA boss could win us the AFCON.

“The Ghana League as it is now is in tatters, it is time for Nyantakyi to go.”

Charles Taylor was a household name during his heydays in the Ghanaian topflight, emerging as the top goal scorer during his time with Hearts of Oak.
