The Ghanaian player was arrested by police officers of Thailand's North-East after acting on the orders of the immigration chief, Lt-Gen Surachate Hakparn for the possession of a passport with a fake visa stamp.

The striker who plays for Sa Kaew Football Club in Thailand got a fake stamp from the Thai Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria and was dated January 26th 2016.

Investigations have also indicated that Patrick Enningful might have connived with officials at Sa Kaew immigration over his visa extensions.

He is currently in the custody of the Aranyaprathet police helping them with their inquiries.
