Ghana will take on Sudan on Thursday 12th November at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium in the first leg of the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, before they jet off to Khartoum for the reverse fixture on 17th November, 2020.

The Black Stars has been hit by series of injuries which has ruled out some of the players who were originally handed call-ups for the clash.

Hence necessitating Akonnor to hand late call-ups to new players to beef-up the squad.

Adu Kwabena announced that he had been given his debut Black Stars call-up for the tie against Sudan.

Prince Adu Kwabena told the host of Fox FM's Focal sports show, Rockson Adjei Yeboah that, he was dumbfounded when he heard that he has got a call up into the Black Stars team.

He said"I stood there for about two minutes when the head coach of the National U20 (Black Satellites) Abdul Karim Zito informed me about the Black Stars call up".

He added he was sure his last season's performance in the Ghana Premier League convinced Coach CK Akonnor for the call up.

The 17-year-old goal poacher scored 8 goals in 14 matches in last season's truncated league.
