Some sections of the media reported that John Painstil prior to him leaving the club last week, showed gross misconduct and was organizing parties for the younger players at the club.
In an interview with KickOff.com, the 34-yer-old Ghana international who released along with the club’s former captain said:
“What they wrote, they must go back and rip it up. If not I'm going to sue them.
“The club has confirmed that they have never spoken to them about me and misconduct, of having parties for the kids and not letting them sleep and Ashley Hartog … all that.
“I'm professional player and I respect myself and I don't do that. I’m here to help the young ones to achieve what I have achieved.”
Painstis in his club football career has played for Berekum Arsenal, Liberty Professionals in the Ghana Premier League, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Hapoel Tel Aviv, West Ham Untied, Fulham, Leicester City and Santos in South Africa.
The 34-year-old was part of the Black Stars team that represented Ghana at the 2006 FIFA World Cup and 2010 FIFA World Cup in Germany and South Africa respectively.
