Jordan Ayew, 3 other Ghanaian players nominated for CAF FIFPro Best XI

Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew and Ghanaian trio have been shortlisted for the 2019 CAF FIFPro XI after good display of football.

Ayew has been joined by Ghanaian trio Thomas Partey, Richard Ofori and Mubarak Wakaso as part of the 55 players nominated for finest XI on the African continent.

The Crystal Palace striker has been outstanding for the Premier League side and the Black Stars. Ayew has scored a couple of goals for Crystal Palace and was subsequently named the club’s Player of the Month for August and he was one of Ghana’s best performers in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Mubarak Wakaso received much applauds from Ghanaians after his enviable display in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. He has also been a consistent performer for Spanish La Liga side Deportivo Alaves.

Richard Ofori has been outstanding in between the sticks for both club and country, Maritzburg FC and the Black Stars of Ghana, respectively.

And Thomas Partey is always a delight to watch in the jersey of Spanish giants Atletico Madrid and has also managed to secure a regular place in the watertight midfield of Diego Simeone’s outfit. He is also one of the key players in the Black Stars.

The final team will be announced on the 7th of January 2020 at the CAF headquarters in Cairo at the annual awards ceremony.
