Schalke to sign Ghanaian star permanently
The German club has been impressed with Rahman despite being currently sidelined

The 22-year-old joined the German club from Chelsea on loan last summer, making 21 appearances in all competitions before a knee injury sustained on international duty with Ghana at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations sidelined him.

Despite his long lay off, the Royal Blues say they are interested in making sure the left back stays in Gelsenkirchen.
“We are in talks with Chelsea and the player. It is possible that he will be back at Schalke next season," said Christian Heidel, Schalke's Sporting Director.

“We will not wait until he is fit again to make a decision – you cannot do that to a player. I think that there will be something to announce soon."
