The 25-year-old has had to endure a frustrating wait to break his deadlock for the Swans, having played 12 matches without hitting the back of the net.

Despite this, Clement believes Jordan has proved to be more than a mere goal poacher.

"I think since we played two strikers we're seeing some really good things from Jordan. Standout things: His work-rate; he's getting in behind teams and stretching the play. He's come out with a big assist in the last game against Everton," Clement told reporters.

"I suppose the only thing missing is that goal. He came very close on the weekend with a shot that came off the outside of the post. He came close in the game against stoke as well.

"It's going to be great if he gets that goal but his overall contribution has been very very good. His effort, his running have been of massive massive help to the team."

Jordan will have a chance to end his barren run when Swansea travel to Sunderland in the Premier League on Saturday.
