The Nigerian government has ordered all workers and offices to close by 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, ahead of the country’s game against Ghana.

This directive is geared towards ensuring that as many Nigerians support the national team in their quest to qualify for the World Cup.

The Super Eagles will face the Black Stars in the second leg of the 2022 World Cup qualifying playoffs at the Mashood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

There is all to play for after the first leg in Kumasi ended without a winner following a goalless draw between the two West African rivals.

A circular from the Federal government said all workers must close early and ordered offices to close at 1:00 pm in a bid to help fill the 60,000-capacity Mashood Abiola Stadium.

“As you are aware, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will be meeting the Black Stars of Ghana in continuation of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier playoff, (Return leg),” the statement said.

“There is a need to mobilise support for the Nigerian Team. Consequently, I am directed to inform you that all offices will be closed at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, 29th March 2022.”

“Permanent secretaries are requested to give this circular wide publicity to achieve the desired result.”

With the first leg ending goalless, both Ghana and Nigeria have a chance to book their ticket to Qatar 2022 when they meet on Tuesday.
