Olympiacos striker Alan Pulido has reportedly been kidnapped in Mexico, with officials confirming an operation is under way to determine his whereabouts.

The Mexico international is said to have been intercepted by a group of attackers after leaving a party in the early hours of Sunday morning. Pulido's girlfriend is thought to have escaped the incident unharmed.

Mediotiempo quotes Pulido's brother Armando, also a footballer, as confirming the kidnapping, while a local government Twitter account revealed a search was ongoing.
