Black Starlets coach hails Cape Coast fans

Paa Kwesi Fabin hails Cape Coast fans after 5-1 win over Burkina Faso U-17.

The Black Starlets playing in front of their home fans were stunned in the early minutes after the Young Stallions scored the first goal.

But with the overwhelming support the team had, they put that goal behind them as they struck fives – Eric Eyiah grabbed brace as Emmanuel Opoku, Isaac Ahantah and Nicholas scored a goal each.

“After we conceded the first goal I told my players to exercise patient so afterwards we could have scored more than the five goals but we are content with the scoreline,” Fabin said after the game.

“We are not yet done with the qualifiers, we will prepare very well for the second leg.

“I have to thank the supporters that came to the stadium. I never knew they will fill the stands because there were Premier League matches going on so I’m pleased with their overwhelming support.”
