Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira has touted Ivory Coast's Wilfred Zaha to one day be inducted into the prestigious Premier League Hall of Fame.

Africa has only Didier Drogba in the Premier league Hall of Fame but Patrick Vieira believes Wilfred Zaha should be considered.

Vieira noted that Zaha's Influence and performance are enough to put him into consideration for the honour despite playing at mid-table Crystal Palace for most of his career so far.
Didier Drogba is the first and the only African to have been inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame in a presentation that was made in April 2022.

Of the eight latest Hall of Fame inductees which are Patrick Vieira, Wayne Rooney, Paul Scholes, Didier Drogba, Peter Schmeichel, Sergio Aguero, Vincent Kompany, and Ian Wright, none played in a team outside of the traditional 'Big Four.'

However, Vieira hopes that the status of Crystal Palace will not be used to deny Zaha consideration for the Hall of Fame Award.
According to Daily Mail, the Crystal Palace manager said: "Wilfried is a little bit like Matt Le Tissier I would say. When you play at Palace, at Southampton, you may not get the credit that you deserve if you're not playing in one of the top four, top five teams.
"Hopefully they will get to the Hall Of Fame because what they did for Crystal Palace and [Southampton] you can’t take that away."
Zaha deserves PL Hall of Fame based on talent - Vieira
Vieira further drew comparisons between the Ivory Coast international and Le Tissier, stating that they deserve the award based on their talent and impact at their clubs.
"Wilfried since he has been in this football club has been an important player, has got a special talent, delivering every year that's why I think it's important for people to recognize his talent," Vieira continued.
"It's a different way of looking at quality, talented players. Wilfried Zaha and Matt Le Tissier, they deserve a lot of credit for what they achieved for their respective football clubs."
Zaha is the all-time leading goalscorer for Crystal Palace and he has notched 69 league goals and 51 league assists since he made his league debut in the 2013/14 season.
