While coach Kwesi Appiah’s squad has been rocked by issues of injury, those available were taken through their paces as they stepped up preparations towards to crucial clash against the Cranes.
Ghana skipper Asamoah Gyan, as well as defender Afful Harrison have been ruled out of the game due to injury, with Christian Atsu and Jonathan Mensah also major doubts after picking up separate knocks.
That, coupled with the exclusion of the Ayew brothers, Andre and Jordan, has left the Ghana squad short of names.
However, on Wednesday the Black Stars held their first training in Kenya, with the technical team supervising the whole session.
The players were taken through some drills, before team manager, Stephen Appiah and goalkeepers coach, Richard Kingston, joined in the session to practice some tactical moves.
The Black Stars will take on the Cranes on Saturday, with an eye on a place in Russia next year.

However, qualification will depend on the result of the other Group E clash between Egypt and Congo.
The Black Stars currently sit third in the group – two points behind the Cranes, and a further two more behind the Pharaohs.
