Gyan gets record 100th cap as Grant mixes up Egypt lineup

Avram Grant has named his lineup for Ghana's final AFCON 2017 Group D clash with Egypt

Coach Avram Grant has named a lineup that features as many as four changes from the side that beat Mali 1-0 on Saturday to secure Ghana's qualification to the quarter-finals.

Andy Yiadom of Barnsley is the major talking point: the 25-year-old gets his Ghana debut at right back following the longterm injury to left back Baba Rahman, whose place in the squad has been taken over by substantive right back Harrison Afful.

Newly signed Columbus Crewe defender Jonathan Mensah also makes a return to the starting XI after playing second fiddle in the last two matches to Leicester City's Daniel Amartey, who has been moved to midfield.

FC Liefering youngster Samuel Tetteh also gets a nod upfront to partner the legendary Gyan, who apart from his century of caps, is a goal away from a milestone 50th Ghana goal.
