Black Stars captain ruled out of Mozambique game

Gyan has been plagued by injury worries in recent times leading to him missing national assignments against Rwanda.

Gyan limped out of the team's final training session on Wednesday morning and the worst has been confirmed with an official telling Pulse.com.gh the striker would be out for five days.

"We thought he could recover but he needs a lot more time to recover so we have decided not to risk him at this stage."

He however looked to have recovered after featuring fully for his club Shanghai SIPG in the new season. Gyan is Ghana's all time top goal scorer with 48 goals.
