Ghana international Sulley Muntari has been linked with a move to Turkish giants Besiktas.

The 30-year-old was released from his AC Milan last month, despite still having a year to run on his deal.

However, he may not be a free agent for long, with Gianluca Di Marzio reporting that the Turkish club are keen on the tenacious midfielder.

Besiktas are in a squad bolstering mood having re-signed former winger Ricardo Quaresma from FC Porto and are expecting two more big name arrivals ahead of the new season.

They are set to tie up a deal with German striker Mario Gomez from Fiorentina with Muntari expected to be the other big name arrival.

Muntari had joined the club on loan from city rivals Inter Milan in January 2012 with his performance earning him a permanent deal but the struggles of the past season led to a decision to leave him out of the plans for the 2015/16 season.
