Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has offered his explanation for his side's humiliating Premier League loss to Jesse Marsch's Leeds United side on Sunday.

Leeds United put up a complete performance at their Elland Road home as they racked up a 3-0 victory over the Blues courtesy of goals from Brenden Aaronson (33'), Rodrigo (37'), and Jack Harrison (69').
Chelsea were outwitted and outplayed by the Leeds United side with Tuchel's side failing to find the back of the net for the first time this season.
'Chelsea dominated early' - Tuchel

The Chelsea manager noted that his side failed to take advantage of their dominance in the opening stages of the match, failing to convert the chances they created early on.

In his post-match press conference with SkySports as posted on Football Daily's Twitter page, the German tactician stated that Chelsea needed to have converted their chances if they were to win against Leeds United.
Tuchel said: "I think we lost it in the first twenty minutes where we were good, clearly better, huge chances. If you want to win the game, you need to convert these chances, if you start so well, we did not.
"We lost track, we did not do anymore what made us strong, we made it an even game and in this period, we gave two presents away and that was it."

The Chelsea manager went on to harp that there was no problem with how the Blues played other than not doing what they did earlier in the match and the errors that led to the goals.
"We just did not [do] what we did for 20 minutes. We stopped doing, we had different ideas, we did not execute what we wanted to do and what we did in the beginning," Tuchel explained.
"There's no reason for it and that's why the game was a bit stuck. It was no problem, there is absolutely no problem. And then we gave two gifts away and that cost us the game."
Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy was at fault for the first goal, failing to clear his lines as Aaronson bore down on goal and dispossessed the Senegalese shot-stopper.

Chelsea will be next in action on Saturday, August 27 when they host Leicester City at Stamford Bridge as the Tuchel-led side hope to stop a two-game winless run.
