Two brilliant free kicks hand Hearts of Oak first victory in Ghana Premier League

Two brilliant freekicks from Joseph Esso and Kofi Kordzi were enough to hand Hearts Oak a 2-1 win over Ebusua Dwarfs at the Accra Sports stadium on Sunday

The hosts broke the deadlock in the 30th minute when Esso's brilliantly curled freekick beat the Dwarfs goalkeeper.

The Rainbow club returned from the break determined to get an early second to comfortably control the game.

Few minutes into the half, Kofi Kordzi won and expertly curled a free kick to put the Phobians two goals up.

But Dwarfs pulled one back after Albert Ato Hammond took advantage of defensive mishap and slide the ball pass goalkeeper Richie Attah.

Bouyed by the consolation, Dwarfs were close to grabbing the equalizer after Amos Nkrumah’s was grabbed by Richie Attah.

The Phobians held on to win their first game of the season at the Accra sports stadium.
