Women’s League are close to acquiring a new sponsor

The National Women's League was postponed in order to hold talks with prospective sponsors

The Vice Chairperson of the Women’s League Board Rosalind Amoh has assured that the Women’s League Board are in talks to acquire a new headline sponsor.

Rosalind Amoh was speaking to Radio XYZ when she confirmed that the league was postponed due to the prospective sponsors who expressed their interest to sponsor the league late.

She spoke of two prospective sponsors which include GN Bank who are going to hold talks with the Women’s League Board hence the launch being called off.

“We have two prospective and GN Bank is one of them. They both came in late after we sent proposals to both of them and called for a meeting incidentally so we had to hold onto the launch.”

The postponement of the launch according to Rosalind Amoh will not affect the already drawn calendar for the National Women’s League.

League Champions Ampem Darkoa ladies will play FA cup winners Prison Ladies in the Super Cup on Saturday 3 March.
