Sulley Muntari set for Italy return?

The Ghanaian international is currently without a club but could be set for a return to the Italian topflight according to reports.

Reports in Italy suggest that former AC Milan and Inter Milan midfielder, Sulley Ali Muntari is being courted by some Serie A clubs.

Muntari has been without a club since leaving Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad this year and is open to offers from other clubs. According to reports in Turin, the former Portsmouth player could make a swift return to active football, as he is in talks with some Italian clubs.

Bologna were earlier reported to be in talks with Muntari, but a move to Lazio has also been mooted as a possible destination. Muntari is no novice to playing in the Serie A, having had productive stints with both Ac Milan and Inter Milan where he won two Scudetto, the Coppa Italia among other medals in a trophy-laden career.

Muntari has not played for the Black Stars since 2014 – having been banned after a fallout at the World Cup in Brazil – and would be looking forward to getting his club career back on track with a move in the winter transfer window. Could Italy be a possible destination for Muntari?
